Kingston, Jamaica—The Latin America High Performance Computing Conference (CARLA), aimed at providing a forum to foster the growth and strength of the High Performance Computing (HPC) community in Latin America and beyond, is now underway at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.
It’s the first time a conference of its kind is taking place in the Caribbean.
The Scientific Research Council (SRC), in a media release on Wednesday, said it is pleased to support the inaugural conference.
“This conference provides a premier international forum for the High Performance Computing (HPC) community across Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. CARLA began in 2014 and has grown to become the flagship HPC conference in the region. This edition marks the first time the event is held in the Caribbean, bringing together leading researchers, technologists, and industry partners to share innovations and best practices in HPC and HPC-for-AI,” the SRC said.
