GROUNDSMAN (SALARY $969,653)

GROUNDSMAN - Human Resource and Administration Division (SALARY $969,653 p.a.)

The Groundsman will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor spaces on our premises. This includes a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the grounds remain tidy, attractive, and safe. The candidate will work closely with the Property Team to ensure the highest standards of landscaping and outdoor maintenance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • School Leaving Certificate.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years’ previous experience in grounds keeping or a similar role.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors.
  • Knowledge of basic plant care, and grounds maintenance techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive and reliable attitude with excellent time management skills.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas, including lawns, flower beds, paths, and parking areas.
  • Mow lawns, trim hedges, and prune trees and shrubs to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Ensure all outdoor areas are free from debris and hazards.
  • Plant, water, and nurture flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the aesthetic quality of the grounds.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of grounds keepingtools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Wash and clean company vehicles
  • Monitor the health of the grounds and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Property Department to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time by the Property Department.
