HUMAN RESOURCE – TEAM LEADER (SALARY $6,333,301 + 25% Gratuity based on performance)

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, Human Resources and Administration, the Human Resource Team Leader is responsible for assisting in the strategic development and deployment of Core Human Resources matters including staff welfare and benefits, recruitment, policy reviews, training, and development, staff engagement, as well as the Division’s Quality Management Systems.

Educational Requirement

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resource
  • Trained in Supervisory
  • Training techniques and facilitation
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations would be an

Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ related experience at the supervisor
  • Knowledge of GOJ/Public Sector operations and
  • Knowledge of GOJ procurement regulations and
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in general HR functions
  • Experience in operating HR electronic systems and
  • Experience in the application of Jamaica Labour Laws and

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership support to the HR&A Division and deputizes in the absence of the Divisional
  • Oversee the Registry functions and provide leadership to the Registry unit Review and update strategic objectives of registry functions and the implementation of all actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee and ensure the updates and compliance of all HR&A Divisional quality standards, procedures, and work instructions in keeping with the Council’s quality objectives and commitments.
  • Review and update Human Resources and other staff-related policies and procedures in accordance with policy and Quality Objective schedules.
  • Responsible for the timely recruitment and onboarding of all human capital resources for the organization in accordance with Divisional needs and strategic objectives.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement organizational training plans and programs for the Council in keeping with divisional and corporate strategies.
  • Manage all staff compensation and benefit matters and make recommendations for changes where
  • Prepare/Update HR&A Risk Management plan in line with organizational review
  • Conducts performance evaluations and develop work plans for staff supervised in accordance with the Council’s performance Management System.
