PROPERTY OFFICER (SALARY $3,501,526)

PROPERTY OFFICER - HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION DIVISION (SALARY $3,501,526.00 p.a.)

The incumbent will be responsible to ensure timely, effective and efficient maintenance of the Council’s building and facilities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • BSc. degree in Building Engineering / Construction Management, or related discipline

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum (5) years’ post qualification experience in Facilities Management.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems and automation systems.
  • Proficient in computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES

  • Exceptional leadership, project management, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction, plumbing and electrical materials and repair activities and processes.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures regular and systematic maintenance/modification of buildings, laboratories, plants, equipment and grounds.

  • Develop scope of work and drawings for work to be done by contractors/workmen.

  • Supervises the work of contractors and workmen to ensure there is value for money.

  • Ensures the organisation’s fleet of vehicles are properly managed and are in compliance with all statutory requirements.

  • Manages the Council’s safety, security and disaster preparedness programmes in keeping with the established policies and procedures.

  • Responds promptly to maintenance requests from Council’s staff and stakeholders.
