RESEARCH SCIENTIST - NATURAL PRODUCTS (SALARY $4,266,270)

This position facilitates research activities that would result in the development of economically feasible value-
added products from natural resources.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
▪ MSc/M.Phil. Degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Natural Products or an equivalent area
▪ BSc. in Pharmaceutical Technology or Natural Sciences (Major in Chemistry/Biological Sciences)
▪ Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Outlook).
▪ Training in Project Management/Proposal & Writing/Technical Reports/ Laboratory Techniques

1. EXPERIENCE
▪ A minimum three (3) years’ experience in years related work experience.
▪ Product formulation, evaluation and testing experience.
2. REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALISED TECHNIQUES
▪ Excellent customer service skills.
▪ Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
▪ Accuracy, attention to detail and having the ability to work on own initiative.
▪ Ability to perform effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

3.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Generate research concept papers and project proposals.
▪ Design and implement experimental plans.
▪ Process and analyze scientific data.
▪ Conduct literature reviews to enhance research work.
▪ Prepares technical papers and/or articles for peer-reviewed journals.
▪ Participate in and conduct training workshops.
▪ Participate in research and development of personal care products.
▪ Adhere to quality management system (QMS) and safety policies and procedures.
▪ Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
