The Scientific Research Council (SRC) is at the forefront of environmentally sound wastewater management in Jamaica, dedicated to mitigating the impact of wastewater from our natural resources and ecosystems. With over 360 successfully commissioned systems including biodigesters, Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blankets (UASB), and Biodigester Septic Tanks (BSTTM), our Wastewater Management Unit is instrumental in providing sustainable solutions for communities, companies, and individuals across the nation.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Team Leader – Wastewater Management Unit in our Process Development Division.
Summary of the Post
Team Leader of the Wastewater Management Unit, will spearhead our efforts to design, implement, and manage advanced wastewater treatment systems. This leadership role demands a proactive approach to overseeing the unit's operations, ensuring the achievement of our environmental and sustainability objectives. The incumbent is also required to lead strategic research aimed at improving current and or designing new wastewater management systems that may yield commercial benefits to the SRC.
The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in advancing SRC’s mission for environmentally sound wastewater management. You will leverage your expertise and leadership skills to inspire your team, drive innovation, and foster partnerships that contribute to the environmental well-being of Jamaica.
