The Scientific Research Council (SRC) is inviting the public to participate virtually in the next instalment of its Conversations in Science series, today (November 27).
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. under the theme ‘Weathering the Future: Science, Food Security and Smart Infrastructure for a Resilient Jamaica’.
Individuals can access the session live from YouTube, Zoom and Facebook on the Council’s platforms as well as those of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS).
Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager of the SRC, Carolyn Rose Miller, said the discussion is critical, especially in light of recent events, such as Hurricane Melissa.
“We have to revisit how we do things, how we build structures and shape policies relating to climate change. It’s very important in making a more resilient Jamaica,” she told JIS News in an interview.
